Where has the year gone? Christmas decorations are already adorning the shops and our annual "shutdown" (from 15th December to the 9th of January) is just around the corner, so please remember to place your orders for December and early January on or before the 29th November 2016 as we cannot guarantee stock availability (especially on the cylinders and ball valves) for orders placed after this deadline date. This issue includes a brief pictorial reflecting on 2016, a pamphlet on the new float for the ball valves and JOOSTE moving forward.

The JOOSTE hand pump, BRINGING WATER TO AFRICA
THE JOOSTE HAND PUMP
In May, Conleth and Mario headed up to the rural area of Qwaqwa, Free State, to help with the installation of JOOSTE hand pumps (to reach fresh water the locals often had to walk long distances). In the photo, right, a young boy easily pumps water for his 'gogo'!
Elation was high as the water pumped out of the ground. News spread like wildfire and in no time, buckets of water were being filled.

Al die personeel werk saam om 'hotdogs' te maak vir die minder bevoorregte kindertjies van "Ons Plek".
Die 1ste JOOSTE 'naambord' rak is by BKB Somerset Oos geinstalleer tydens hul onlangse opgradeering. (Foto regs : te danke aan BKB Somerset Oos). Ons wil graag in die toekoms meer van die rakke verskaf.
We are currently in the process of 're-doing' our packaging. This will make it easier to hang and look considerably neater on racks. The image (on the right) reflects the old FB40-29x* packaging and the new header-card packaging on the right.
New "thread" in Float for JOOSTE Ball Valve. The thread is moulded on the inside of the Jooste ball float. One thread for both the 8mm and 10mm bolt. Refer to pamphlet below.
* 2016 has been an exciting year for Jooste Cylinder & Pump Company with regards to Research and Development. We are currently in the final testing stages of a solar drivensubmersible Jooste Cylinder as well as a new 'system' which will eliminate the costly use of galvanised pipes and rods. More on this in 2017 *
More exciting news ....... our 'new' updated and re-designed Webpage should be 'live' very soon.
